We have a wonderful male "chocolate" beagle who my husband and i are thinking of breeding, however, we don't know exactly how to go about the process and whether he is too old. Our beagle has never shown any signs of humping in his life. Is there any age limit for male beagles to breed(that might sound daft)? What is the best and safest way to go about breeding him? What does the process entail exactly? What is the overall cost?
The main reason we want to breed him is so that we can have one or two of his puppies.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
