Big Toe Bone fusion

dimanche 29 mars 2015

I've had 2 surgeries on my right big toe. The first 1 was a bone fusion of the main joint that was to take care of arthritis in joint. The toe angle was to be set to point out just a bit. Unfortunately in pointed in and caused severe problems with friction with second toe to the point of going to another podiatrist and he did surgery raising the angle up of the big toe, putting a V in the second joint and taking bunion off of second toe.

It's now been over a year and second toe is now curling under big toe and he has put me in rocker bottom shoes to keep pressure off of the end of 2nd toe due to big toe now being shorter. I've used toe spacers and spreaders to try to keep 2nd and 3rd toes over much to no avail.
