Hi. I had a Trimalleolar fracture 4 months ago and had an ORIF with plates, screws, pins and wires. Visited consultant Thursday as a screw is painfully protruding. He has organised a bone scan to see if bone is fully healed before removing it. So that's all sorted or 4 weeks time. However, last night the area where the screw is poking through bled only a little and scabbed over. It has done the same again. Do I ring them up and tell them it bled as they are already aware it's protruding. Don't want to waste their time or mine as I have children to be told you have a scan booked anyway. Thanks x
