Soooo a few weeks ago I started getting my trailer ready for the season... Clean up, dust it off, new tires, check the batteries... DEAD!
Open up my storage compartment and pop the caps and of course the batteries are damn near dry. Each battery took almost a whole gallon of water. No bueno.
The 4 Costco 6v GC batteries will take a charge now but die quickly... FML!
So after doing a little research it turns out that the snazzy digital controller I have is crap. Claims of over charging, no float charging just full bore output to the batteries causing them to gas and dry up.
Off to Costco to spend $400 in batteries but before I do I wanna dump this shit controller and get something that's not gonna cost me $400 a year in batteries!!
What do you solar people reccomend?
This is the one I have now and it's prolly got the worse reviews for a controller on Amazon.
