hello everyone,
we have a vendor who sends international phone numbers. however, they don't utilize the hl7 components correctly for things like country code, area code, and local number. rather, they just chunk the whole thing together as a string in the first component of the hl7 field, like this: +011966505919274
this causes parsing errors in mirth, as i need to use message validation. before i try to fix this on my own, i thought i'd ask if anyone else has encountered this situation, and if there is a standard fix for it.
thanks,
steve metz
