I bought a Harbor Breeze universal remote (RCE 103LW). It has 3 fan speed controls and a dimmer for light.
I wired according to instructions. The fan control works however the dimmer switch doesn't work. Weird part is the light now actually dims with the fan control (so when I switch fan to highest speed the light also becomes bright and when I set it to lower speed the light also dims).
Would this be an issue with original wiring on the fan (I didn't do it) or did I do something incorrect.
The two wires from receiver to ceiling are wired as white - white and black - red ceiling (I don't have a black in the ceiling, there is a white and red).
The 3 wires from receiver to fan are wired as white - white , black - black and blue - blue.
