Hi
Im very new to Mirth, i have used a number of languages and have been involved with DICOM for some time.
i have never used Java/JavaScript before.
Im amazed at how quickly I could get something setup and how easy the system is to use.:D
I have setup two channels (both attached).
No1: will Poll a (smb) directory on a server and DICOM Send the files to a DICOM SCP. If a certain Tag (Lossy image compression 0028,2110) is entered with a value of '01' it edits it back to '00' before sending via a Source transform. Once sent the files are moved on the smb server so that the folder polling does not continue for those files. Error files are moved to a diff folder.
No2: is a DICOM listener, it will save the files to the same smb directory that No1 is Polling. I have a couple of filters setup but I havent confirmed they are working.
I have a few questions:
Speed isnt great. Is there something in my channel setup causing this? I guess it would be better to store the files locally rather than on a smb share.
How do I stop No1 from starting to send files until No2 is finished? Is there a way of just sending the results of one channel into another? this seems a little beyond my understanding atm.
Mirth DICOM seems to work in a per file basis. Is there any way to make it work on a per image series or per patient basis?
many thanks
