Custom Web Service does not count incomming messges in dashboard

Using Eclipse I've created a custom web service listener which contains two actions. One action just returns the number '3'.



I use a second Mirth channel (web service sender) to test this custom web service listener.



Via this ws sender I send a SOAP message to the custom ws. The ws sender does rechieve the right return value from the custom ws being '3'.



But the dashboard 'received' counter of the custom ws is not increased. Also the 'channel messages' the messages are not shown.



Is this as it should be?
