Methods of modifying the GlobalMap at startup

I am attempting to add a key to the Global Map with a plugin in the plugin's init() or start() call. The default setting in Mirth to clear the Global Map on redeploy clears the map out and of course prevents any channel from seeing my key.



Is there a way of modifying the Global Map in a plugin that would occur after Mirth clears it? Right now I've disabled the clear setting, which works, but I'd prefer something that would not require changing that default setting.
