My offset umbrella opens up but is slanty and won't come down level.

I put down the umbrella when there was supposed to be wind. The wind took it anyway and something funny happened. I can crank it closed and it hangs right. When I try to open it up it opens fully but remains at a slant. It won't go down over my hot tub. I want to put on the screens but can't make the umbrella be level over the hot tub. What am I doing wrong.
