FTP Writer - FTP Audit Log?

I am trying to toubleshoot some FTP issues when using the FTP Writer connector. In certain cases, my files are not appearing in the FTP destination folder. However, when I look at the channel messages for the transaction, the status of the destination is "SENT". It would be extremely helpful to see a log of the FTP process (i.e. similar to what you see if you watch an FTP connection from a command window showing the ack/nack messages back and forth). Is it possible to see a log of the FTP connection?
